When
you want the ball to run after hitting the green, play the ball midway between
your feet
and have the sensation of hitting it a bit on the upswing.
When
you need more loft and less roll on the shot, stand with the ball a little
closer to your right foot
and you will sense that you are hitting down on it.
When
you particularly want the ball to travel high and stop dead, play it almost
off your right foot,
and you will feel that you hit down very firmly on the ball.
